Our pantry is open every Thursday evening and volunteers are needed from 5:30-8:30pm.
Volunteers serve as greeters, shopping assistants, help carry items to client’s cars, and more!Volunteer Today
Volunteers help during the week to sort and organize donations, set up the pantry space, prepare produce and perishable items and help in the garden. Currently, all of our set-up volunteer slots are filled.
We can accommodate groups of various sizes. If you’re interested in scheduling a group please contact Kendall (firstname.lastname@example.org or 708.215.5418).
Greater Chicago Food Depository Volunteers
On the 4th Wednesday of each month, 10-15 volunteers work to earn $15.00 each toward our GCFD food purchase. This is a great financial help since the Food Pantry purchases quality items at low prices each month to supplement donations from our parishioners and friends in the community. If you are interested in joining our group on one or more of the upcoming 4th Wednesdays, please e-mail Jerry Mitchell, email@example.com, or contact Kendall at firstname.lastname@example.org, (708)214-5418.
GCFD is located at: 4100 W. Ann Lurie Place, Chicago, IL 60632. You can also sign up to go at a convenient time for you. Please designate St. Cletus Food Pantry-Agency #A01336, as the recipient of your volunteer credits. For more info: www.chicagosfoodbank.org
Who can volunteer? Age requirements?
Anyone can volunteer as we are careful not to ask our volunteers to exert themselves beyond their capabilities. We will happily accept help from volunteers of all ages, however, children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult during their entire shift.
What should I wear?
Volunteers should wear weather appropriate clothing, volunteers may be working outside. Clothing should be comfortable.
Where is the St. Cletus Food Pantry located? Where do I go when I arrive?
